In yet another development in Narsingh Yadav doping case, Prime
Minister Narendra Modi sought details from Wrestling Federation of India
after the federation and wrestler fumed conspiracy in this connection.
Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Saran has met PM Modi after he held a press conference in New Delhi and supported Yadav by ruling out replacement for Rio Olympics.
If he would have doped then he would have not gone to Spain, said Wrestling Federation of India president Brij Bhushan Saran while addressing a press conference in Delhi.
He further added that he should get a justice that is what we want adding Yadav has given a written complaint to the federation mentioning that he has been framed and is a part of conspiracy.
Federation feels that injustice has been done with Narsingh Yadav, hope the committee does justice, said Bhushan.
Showing displeasure on the situation Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar posted on Facebook, "Its very unfortunate to see the Sport of Wrestling go through this. I have given my life to the Sport and will always support my fellow Wrestlers. I know how it feels to represent the country and how hard is it to prepare for it. I respect the Sport and whatever I am today is due to Wrestling. It hurts to see the current situation."
With Narsingh Yadav's roommate Sandeep Yadav at the SAI Sonepat camp also testing positive for the same banned substance, WFI said that it strengthens the conspiracy theory and indicates at a clear case of sabotage.
"The fact that Narisngh's teammate at the camp has also tested positive for the same substance, it clearly looks to be a foul play. Both the wrestlers were consuming the same supplements as they were roommates. It arises suspicion," WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar said.
