Haryana government has decided to change the name of Food and Supplies
Department to Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. The
Chief Minister Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to this effect.
Karan Dev Kamboj, Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, said that the new name reflected entire functioning of the department whereas the earlier name did not project its complete working. The department supplies food items and also redresses the grievances of consumers.\
