To tackle malnutrition in women and children in the State, Haryana Government will launch a pilot project in Ambala under which fortified wheat flour and other food items would be distributed in association with HAFED.
Haryana Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Karan Dev Kamboj on Thursday said that the project will be launched in two blocks of Ambala. As per the National Family Health Survey – 4 (NFHS), more than 60 per cent population of pre-school children and women are anaemic in Haryana.
