This Haryana village celebrates birth of a girl child in the most amazing way

Haryana, the state known for the depleting girl child ratio is changing with time and adopting new measures to promote birth of a girl child.

Nizampur village of Panipat district is setting an example for others by celebrating the birth of a girl child in a most amazing way. Here the family organises feast for villagers, distributes sweets and perform pooja when a daughter is born to celebrate the occasion.

Women from the village perform dance out of joy and happiness.
A woman from the village, Kusum, gave birth to a baby girl and her family distributed sweets among the villagers to celebrate the occasion. They also performed 'kuan poojan' to thank the almighty.
The sarpanch of the village and other authorities participated in the function organised at their home.
