Haryana Additional Chief Secretary, Home Mr. Ram Niwas said that the amount of challan for any offence will be collected by the Police through the Point of Sale (POS) devise and no cash will be taken from anyone.
Mr Ram Niwas who was addressing the district officers, bankers and representatives of Non Government Organizations at Gurugram today said that the POS devices would also be installed in Tehsils.
Mr Ram Niwas also asked the Power Utilities and Municipal Corporation to encourage the people visiting their offices for cashless transactions. He asked all the officers and employees to popularize the system of payment through mobile and make it a mass movement. He said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has taken this revolutionary step of demonetizing the currency notes of higher denomination to strengthen our economy, ensure transparency and keep a check on the black money.
He said that Haryana is a progressive state and Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has sent one Administrative Secretary in each district of the State so as to promote the cashless transactions.
