As Rio Olympics enters Day 12 on Wednesday, the youngest from a family of distinguished women wrestlers, Vinesh Phogat will compete in the 48-kg category, while Sakshi Malik will be seen grappling in the 58-kg division.
Sakshi Malik will take on Johanna Mattsson of Sweden in Women's freestyle 58 kg qualification whereas, in Women's freestyle 48 kg round of 16, Vinesh Phogat will take on Emilia Alina Vuc of Romania.
Both of their matches are scheduled to be held at 6.38 PM and 7.02 PM respectively.
Vinesh Phogat became the first Indian wrestler to secure a Rio Olympic berth. She qualified after her brilliant performance at the 2nd and last world qualifying event at Istanbul, Turkey.
On the other hand, Sakshi defeated Chinese Lan Zhang 10-10 in the semi-final to book her Olympic berth.
India, so far, has unable to fetch any medal during the ongoing Rio Olympics.
