The Haryana government on Tuesday appointed Indian Police Service
(IPS) officer Sandeep Khirwar as Gurgaon's new Commissioner of Police.
The 1995 batch IPS officer, Khirwar, was
posted as Inspector General of Police (IGP-Security) with additional
charge of IGP Railway and Commando.
The 1994 batch IPS officer, Navdeep Singh Virk, outgoing Commissioner of Police, has been appointed as IGP Rohtak Range.
IGP Rohtak Sanjay Kumar has been given the charge of IGP (Security).
IPS Alok Kumar Roy, SK Jain and Rajbir Singh
Deswal have been promoted as Additional Director General of Police
(ADGP) Railway and Commando, ADGP Home Guards Haryana and ADGP
Litigation and Police Headquarters, Panchkula, respectively with
immediate effect.
A massive traffic jam on the
Delhi-Jaipur-Mumbai National Highway following heavy rain in July had
triggered rumours of Virk's transfer.
The huge traffic jam, which started on July
28 and lasted till July 29 evening, had brought the city to a grinding
halt. Dozens of vehicles were trapped in storm water due to overflow in
Badshahpur drain.
My sister Nupur Bansal D/o Vijay Kumar Aggarwal R/o 53/4530, Regar Pura Karol Bagh, aged 26 years was married to Pramod Bansal S/o Bajrang Lal Bansal R/o 283/14 Jacob Pura, Gurgaon on 25 February 2016. On 07 June 2017, my sister heard her in laws speaking silently with each other. She ignored because this was the common thing in their house. After some time my sister’s mother in law gave her tea to drink after which my sister started feeling sleepy. But in order to avoid any argument she still went to bathroom to wash clothes. After that her mother in law again used abusive language for my daughter and started demanding Rs. 7,00,000. On my sister's refusal, she threatened her to kill her, me and my family with the help of goondas which they engage for killing people. When my sister still refused to bring that amount from me, her mother in law with the intention of killing her, forcefully pushed the bottle of Harpik (Toilet Cleaner) in her throat and said that she will kill her today and also burn her by calling her both sons. My sister tried to escape and bolted herself in a room and called my father to tell about the incident. I immediately called by Bua's son Mr. Abhay Singla who lives near by to go to her place and take her to the doctor. When he reached there he saw her mother in law and both her sons were standing outside the room and were trying to open the door forcefully. After seeing him, they got scared. Then my Sister after making sure that Abhey Singla is there opened the door. She was first taken to Kalyani Hospital and after preliminary treatment she was shifted to Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon. The doctors have said that her entire stomach has burnt from inside and if any food particle enters her body stomach will burst. A food pipe has been connected from his mouth to intestine to directly carry the food from mouth to intestine. We got the FIR registered and FIR No. is 0489 and was registered on 07 June 2017 under sections 328, 34, 405, 498-A and 509 on Indian Penal Code. However, only husband of my sister was arrested till date. He also got bail yesterday. Other accused are roaming free and police is not taking any action against them.
