Golden Jubilee celebrations: Haryana government reserved Rs 1700 crore for various schemes

Haryana government has earmarked about Rs 1,700 crore for various schemes to be launched during the state's Golden Jubilee year celebrations which begin from November.

Haryana Chief Secretary DS Dhesi on Monday presided a meeting and held discussions with the additional chief secretaries of all departments regarding identification of schemes, programmes and projects to be implemented by their departments during the 'Swarn Jayanti' year, an official release said.

The chief secretary has directed the officers to complete the action plans of schemes at the earliest, it said.
The government has decided to celebrate 'Swarna Jayanti Year' from November 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017.
 
It was informed in the meeting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch several schemes at the inaugural function of golden jubilee celebrations at Gurgaon on November 1, 2016. He would also lay the foundation stones of different projects and inaugurate some of them, the release said.

It also said a delegation comprising officers from different departments would visit the venue of the inaugural function this week to take stock of the arrangements being made.
