The state government would observe 2017 as ‘Garib Kalyan Varsh’ (year of welfare of the poor) and emphasis would be laid on generating maximum employment opportunities for the youth.
This was stated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while replying to questions of mediapersons. He said that the next year would be dedicated to Pt Deendayal Upadhyaya.
Khattar said that he had made about 2,000 announcements during these two years out of which 1,200 announcements had either been completed or work on them was in progress. The work on remaining 800 announcements was also in progress which would be completed during next year, he said.
He said he had provided good governance while making efforts to ensure transparency. “Also, efforts have been made to streamline the systems which were creating problems for the people,” he said, adding that there was no problem in the functioning of the government, but said: “Whenever a new task is undertaken, one has to understand its system and create one to get desired results.” Now the system had gathered momentum and there was no hindrance, he added. — TNS
