To provide better facilities and to make experience of film watching better in cinema halls, a meeting was held between officers of the Haryana Government and owners of cinema halls, here on Saturday.
The meeting has been held as a part of the process of framing Film Policy of the State and issues such as renovation of old cinema halls and increasing number of cinema halls in the state were discussed in the meeting.
Expressing concern over the problems of the owners of cinema halls of the State, Director, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sameer Pal Srow said that keeping in view the future generation, cinema needs to be promoted.
He said that Chief Minister, Manohar Lal was of the view that good cinema halls are needed for promotion of Haryanvi as well as non-Haryanvi films in the state. In this direction, the Film Policy is being framed and the suggestions of owners of cinema halls are important for this initiative.
