The ‘Pravasi Haryana Divas-2017’ being organised at Gurugram on January 10 and 11 is getting encouraging response as more than 700 Non Resident Indians (NRIs) have so far got themselves registered online, Haryana government said on Saturday.
The ‘Pravasi Haryana Gaurav’ Samman would be conferred upon 20 NRIs on this occasion. Also, Memorandums of Understanding would be signed during this event.
An official spokesman said that apart from the Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, various Ministers of the Central and the State Governments would also attend the ‘Pravasi Haryana Divas-2017’.
He said that with to assist the guests arriving for the event, help desks would be set up at T-1 and T-3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi in the afternoon of January 9. As many as 71 Liaison Officers have been engaged to assist the delegates coming for the event.
The residents of villages Sui in district Bhiwani and Dangra in district Fatehabad would view the concluding function through video conference. While the village Sui has been adopted by NRI Jagmohan Jindal, village Dangar has been adopted by another NRI Gaurav Aggarwal. They would also interact with the villagers on this occasion.
Poets Surender Sharma and Arun Gemini would entertain the guests in the cultural evening on the first day of the event. Besides, prominent personalities of film industry such as Randeep Hooda and Subhash Ghai, and playback singer Sonu Nigam would also be present on this occasion.
