Haryana to organise special Statewide screenings of Dangal to boost Haryanvi language and culture-haryana online
Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar has said that a film festival would be organised in the State during the Swarna Jayanti Year where  'Dangal' movie would be screened at different places all over the State.

Besides, a film policy is being prepared to boost Haryanvi language and culture, he said.
Talking to reporters after watching a special show of ‘Dangal’ at Films Division Auditorium in New Delhi late Monday evening, he hailed  the movie for highlighting the traditional sport of wrestling as well the folk culture of Haryana. State Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, was also present.

Khattar lauded the effort made in the movie to showcase on the big screen the struggle waged by the daughters of Haryana and their father in an impressive manner. The dialogues in Haryanvi dialect have instantly drawn the people to the movie. Besides, it is also associated with the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme. The State Government has already made the movie tax free.

Describing wrestling (Kushti)-Dangal as a glorious part of the sports tradition of Haryana, Khattar said that early this year, the state government had organized Dangal with prize money of Rs 1 crore on the occasion of the Martyrdom Day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh.  It would also be organized next year on March 22-23, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Actor Aamir Khan recited his dialogue of the movie ‘Mahri Choriyan, Choron Se Kam Hai Ke’. Hailing 'Dangal' as the pride of Haryana, he said that based on Mahavir Phogat of Balali village and his daughters Gita and Babita. He also thanked the Chief Minister for making the movie tax free in the State.
