New scheme for women labourer to provide 50,000 new sewing machine and Solar lamps free in Haryana


A new scheme will soon be launched in Haryana to make the women labour self-reliant and employable.

Announcing this, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Sunday said that under this scheme, 50,000 such women would be provided sewing machines free of cost.

Apart from this, 50,000 solar lanterns would also be distributed free of cost to the women living in those slums which do not have the facility of electricity so as to illuminate their houses, he said while addressing party workers meeting at Narwana in Jind.

The Chief Minister also announced a number of development projects for the area to the tune of over Rs 150 crore. Apart from this, he also announced that after the availability of sufficient number of doctors, a superspeciality hospital would be constructed in Narwana.

He said that there were total 59 lakh families in the state and out of these 53 lakh families have already been provided with the facility of LPG gas and the remaining six lakh families would soon be covered under this scheme. After this, Haryana would become a kerosene-free State, he added.
While describing strong road network as pivotal for the development of any country or state, he said that a superhighway from Delhi to Katra via Rohtak-Jind-Punjab would be constructed and with the construction of this, the distance from Delhi to Amritsar would be covered in just five hours.
